"too bad, it had so much potential"
Pros: easy to install
Cons: has a hard time starting up
Summary: It worked fine for the first couple of weeks. No I have to reinstall the thing every time I try to downlaod a video from a video website.

"Well done software w/a major flaw (see Cons)"
Pros: Very simple user interface; Downloads well; Handles categorizing downloads cleanly.
Cons: I have 100sof previous downloads in a different manager, and IDM has no facility to even add a single file that is already on your disk. Most of my previous downloads cannot be downloaded again, so I cannot easily move to this decent product.
Summary: Internet Download Manager has a lot going for it if you download frequently. However, the flaw I mentioned above can be a serous roadblock to switching from another product. read more
