Instacollage lets you combine and manipulate multiple photos into a single collage before sharing with your social networks. It gives you 18 different collage styles to choose from, including a single square picture layout (similar to Instagram), and layouts with up to four different panels of varying arrangements. After you pick your style, the empty collage template pops up so you can add your photos to the panels. The interface here is perfect, as it lets you simply tap a panel to insert a photo from your gallery, then drag and pinch to move and resize. Unfortunately, though, Instacollage does not let you add a new photo directly from your camera.

Once all of your panels are filled, you can use the various tools at the bottom of the screen to edit them. There's a Doodle tool, which is essentially a standard paintbrush, as well as an Effects tool, which lets you apply filters to specific panels. Also, there are quite a few ways to customize your collage as a whole, using frames and different border colors and textures.

Once you're finished, hit Done to save the final file and share using Android's share menu.

Unfortunately, for all its useful tools for creating custom collages and manipulating photos, Instacollage isn't without its faults. The app comes with quite a few annoyances, including the large, always flashing leaderboard ad across the top, as well as the "Sponsored Offer" upon launch. Also, every time you back out of Instacollage, it asks (begs?) you to give the app a 5-star rating on Google Play, which can get old. Lastly, Instacollage makes it very difficult to go back and change the photos in your collage. Once a panel is filled, the only way to change the photo is to go back and start from the beginning.

Overall, Instacollage is an adequate collage app for Android. It makes it easy to combine up to four photos in a single image, and it even offers a few effects. However, from a usability standpoint, the app is far from perfect.
