    "Shame on you CNET!"

    April 4, 2013  |   By LastOfTheMagi

    Version: InfoAtoms 1.0.10.0

    Pros

    NONE WHATSOEVER

    Cons

    1. Cyber-raping your PC. Forcibly installed without so much as a warning or opt out.

    2. Useless.

    3. Interferes with normal web browsing.

    4. Hassle to uninstall and remove all traces of it from your PC.

    Summary

Seems CNET is now in the business of cyber terrorism. Not only is this malware forcibly installed on your computer whenever you use their downloader, it also installs GetSavin and InfoAtoms as well. Although the installer has opt outs for other software, none is provided for these 3. Avoid the CNET downloader like the plague, and get your downloads from other sources, the author preferably.

"Bad software - NO STARS; NOT EVEN ONE!"

    February 17, 2013  |   By jjstewart

    Version: InfoAtoms 1.0.10.0

    Pros

    There are no pros.

    Cons

Sits on TOP of what you want to see. Click and you get a web page that won't quit. The advertising (above) is false and misleading. To get rid of it you have to take it out of AddOns, Programs, and your Registry. Then reboot.

    Summary

    Should not be here.

"Need negative stars to properly rate this software"

    February 2, 2013  |   By montysimmons

    Version: InfoAtoms 1.0.10.0

    Pros

Gives a relatively cheap lesson in scam software and you get what you pay for type lesson.

    Cons

The software gives you nothing but pain.

    Summary

This software will highjack your searches by opening new taps that redirect you to a site of its choice. It also slows everything down. What do you get in return? Nothing good.

    How to remove it?
    1. Under Control Panel, programs, ... uninstall "infoatoms"
    2. at "run" command line, type "regedit" press enter.
    3. You will be editing your registry --- be careful.
    4. Search for "atom" and delete any folder with the term "infoatom";
    5. reboot;
    6. To the registry edit thing again;
    7. reboot . . . you should be fine

    "Nightmare- caused lots of problems"

    January 30, 2013  |   By bartomccoy

    Version: InfoAtoms 1.0.10.0

    Pros

    Increases your malware removal skills

    Cons

CNET should stop offering Malware for unsuspecting users to install

Causes my Google searches to throw up other crap I don't want after main search results come up. It created all kinds of interference with Internet Explorer... We had to delete registry settings to remove, even after uninstalling.

Our IT department blocks its website because it's so bad.

    Summary

    CNET SHOULD REMOVE THIS!
    DO NOT INSTALL!!! NIGHTMARE.....

    "Malware DO NOT DOWNLOAD"

    January 18, 2013  |   By hee4joy

    Version: InfoAtoms 1.0.10.0

    Pros

    None. There are none.

    Cons

    please read my summary.

    Summary

I did not download this software, I visited a website and clicked on menu said products (not an ad banner) and another website opened on my new tab, it said if I don't do anything, it will automatically close in 30 secs (which it actually did close)

And then, the worst happened. Every time when I use any search engine (google, yahoo, bing, you name it!!!) a little window pops up with video clip showing some advertisement.

When I was listening to music, it overlaps the sound and really annoys me (the ad volume is freaking loud too)

I've spending about an hour trying to figure out how to get rid of this software but I cannot find good solution yet because I DID NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING.

I think CNET shouldn't put this software to download at all.
I am actually very disappointed that I found download link from CNET (download.com)

    GET AWAY FROM THIS SOFTWARE!!!!!

    "Contemptible installation tactics"

    January 15, 2013  |   By bionic_beaver

    Version: InfoAtoms 1.0.10.0

    Pros

Wish I could think of just one!

    Cons

Massive amount of hyperlinks, intrusive popups and redirects. Everything about this "program" reeks!

    Summary

I do not have a clue as to how this program came to be installed on my system. However, I am greatful that a free download from this site (Cnet) allowed me easily uninstall this junk. I used Advanced Uninstall Pro and have not had any problem since! Thank you Innovative Solutions for making it relatively painless to remove this garbage!

"Finally got rid of InfoAtoms! It hi-jacked my searches!"

    December 27, 2012  |   By monimo22

    Version: InfoAtoms 1.0.10.0

    Pros

NONE. It forces you to navigate to the page you want TWICE. So I had to use double the clicks, not half, to get the pages I wanted. Thanks to the December 2, 2012 review from "mydh", I uninstalled it. Here are the steps, if you can't find that review.

First, go to Control Panel & click the "uninstall software" link. Find InfoAtoms in the list. Click on it; then click UNINSTALL. Or, in the Windows Explorer go to C:\Program Files\InfoAtoms. Within that folder, double-click the 'uninstall' file to run it.

NEXT find it in Regedit. Here's how: click Start, then Run. (If you don't see RUN, then right-click Start, click Properties, then "Customize...". In the list, check the box "Run Command" then OK/OK.) Type Regedit in the Run box. Click HKEY Local Machine, Software, InfoAtoms, Delete - to delete the entire 'Key' folder for InfoAtoms. Then I restarted my computer and checked those places and the Uninstall from Control Panel, to be sure it was gone. Voila'!

    Cons

    1. I was not aware of installing this application, so it sneaked in on some other application's installer. NOT NICE.
    2. Without warning this application jumped me to new tabs containing information I didn't ask for, taking me off the pages I chose for myself.
    3. It's OBNOXIOUS.
    4. The un-install application looks suspicious. I think that is deliberate: it made me avoid the uninstaller at first, because it looks like it could be a virus. Otherwise, why name it "au.exe" instead of "RemoveInfoAtoms" or something like that?

    Summary

I did NOT like how it forced me onto pages I did not click to. Far from getting me what I want faster, with fewer clicks, InfoAtoms forced me off the pages I wanted, so I had to navigate back to them again. I cannot say strongly enough how obnoxious that was! I had to restart my searches over again before I finally figured out what was happening - and then I still had to close the unwanted tabs opened by InfoAtoms to get BACK to my chosen web sites. Stay off my computer! If I could add an angry growl to this review, I would.
