"A good option to read and edit pdf files"

    June 09, 2014   |   By OsoTormenta

    Version: Infix PDF Editor 6.15

    Pros

The installation process is very simple and fast, also it offers to install a PDF print service to export, the interface is clean and simple, but it doesn't means that is poor, just have what we need, the use is very intuitive, in the PRO version when a file with scanned text is detected, Infix offers the OCR option to edit the file, the images seems to load smooth, and have a low resources consumption, compared to Adobe's Reader or Foxit, Infix PDF editor is a good option to read and edit pdf files.

    Cons

    No Cons at this time...

    Summary

A good software to manage pdf files, in my personal point of view, I leave it installed.

"Difficulty finding features I am used to using"

    April 03, 2014   |   By Hooklisa

    Version: Infix PDF Editor 6.15

    Pros

Only lets you scan one page at a time.I thought it would let me scan multiple pages to PDF files but they limit you on the free trial version to only scanning one page at a time. Finally, I am settled with another similar tool named Wondershare PDF Editor

    www.pdf-file-converter.com/wondershare-pdf-editor/

Compared with Infix PDF ditor and Acrobat Pro X, this PDF editor is much cheaper while providing a complete PDF solution: creating, editing and converting PDF files.

PS I'm not advertising this program. I just found it useful and thought of sharing with others. I would also advise you to try before you buy.

    Cons

    30 day free trail period.

    Summary

you have ten pages to scan to PDF, you have to do scan each page one at a time....so you end up with ten seperate PDF files. Will take you a long time! Plus this free version installs a ton of files on your computer and when I did the unistall, it took quite awhile because of the number of files.

"EDIT PDF JUST LIFE EDITING WORD DOC - GO INFIX GO - NO"

    September 09, 2013   |   By ramchandra285

    Version: Infix PDF Editor 6.15

    Pros

Finally my searching is end - the day I found "INFIX PDF EDITOR" - I am really amazed with the features and capability of this tool. PDF editing was never easy before I found this tool but I am so happy now that I finally found something I really want from the day one. It's wonderful software! It really does what it says - allows you to treat PDF documents like a Word doc then change it and save back to PDF format. You just open them up, edit them and save them. You can search and replace across multiple files. Just does exactly what you would hope that Acrobat would have done but doesn't. I am not a good fan of adobe. I really recommend those of you who are searching PDF editing tools... Please go for INFIX PDF EDITOR. GO INFIX GO.

    Cons

    NO CONS at this time.

    Summary

I will recommend to buy this software to the people who are looking for PDF editing capability.

"This is a super program, especially for translators."

    July 20, 2013   |   By SafeTex

    Version: Infix PDF Editor 6.15

    Pros

It can export text that can be loaded in a Computer Assisted Translation tool (CAT tools) and then you can re-import the translation back to Infix.
The service on the forum is also incredible. You get answers from people who really seem to know and when there is a problem they can't solve on the forum, they invite you to upload the pdf file so that they can see what is wrong

    Cons

I've been using a trial version for about 3 days solid (testing it) and I have not seen a 'con' yet except the watermark which I will speak about in the summary.

    Summary

I'm still testing the software but I'm pretty sure I will end up buying it. And no, I don't work for the company. I'm a 'professional' translator and you can find my profile on the Proz site.

It is true that the price to get rid of the watermark just three times is pretty expensive and I do understand some of the negative remarks but you can use the software free of charge (with the watermark of course).

So it is in my opinion 'freeware'. I sometimes translate free of charge but I do expect the user to put my name and email then at the bottom of the document. Is that so much to ask when you do a lot of work for next to nothing?
