Although its primary job is to control what programs run when you boot up your PC, InControl also boasts some other handy system-maintenance tools. As you might expect, the program lets you disable applications that launch when you start your PC, and you also can add new entries to the start-up list. However, we really appreciated the ability to add programs to a black list, which can come in handy if your computer is hit by a particularly tenacious strain of adware. Still, it would be nice if InControl could alert you to potentially harmful start-up entries already on your machine. The Heal My PC feature, which fixes nonfunctional start-up entries, uninstallers, and shortcuts, is another plus. The application can display basic information about your hardware and up time, and the History tool lets you revert to an earlier start-up configuration if you later change your mind. We're glad to say that InControl's main window is both elegant and simple to understand, so even inexperienced users shouldn't have a problem operating it. This program will suit a wide range of users and will be a boon to those who have a lot of applications on their computer.Publisher's description

"One of the best startup managers I've tried."
Pros: Genarally I like this proggy.
Simple to use and nice-looking. I especially like the Heal My PC feature which other similar programs don't have and Black List - the matter is that there are programs that stubbornly add themselves into startup whenever you run them even if you have previously removed them from there (for example MSN Messenger, Ashampoo Uninstaller Platinum ABBY Lingvo Tutor). With InControl's Black List it is easily solvable: once you have added an application to the Black List you will never need to bother removing it from the startup list again.
Cons: 1) I don't want Welcome Wizard to pop up each time I run the program and I haven't managed to find how to stop it. 2) I would prefer Black List feature to block intruders for good so that it was not necessary to run InControl for that. 3) The price is too high.

"I think it has a spyware----keystroke logger to be precise..."
Pros: Very good utility, removes unwanted startup items from msconfig.
Cons: think it has a spyware...counterspy says so...
