Publisher's description
From LIGHTNING UK :ImgBurn is a lightweight CD/DVD/HD-DVD/Blu-ray burning application that has several modes, each for performing a different task: Read - read a disc to an image file; Build - creates an image file from files on your computer or network (you also can write the files directly to a disc); Write - write an image file to a disc; Verify - ensure that a disc is 100% readable (you can also have ImgBurn compare it against a given image file to ensure the actual data is correct); and Discovery - used in combination with DVDInfoPro, you can check the quality of the burns your drive is producing.
Version 2.4.3.0 adds 'Change Folder' and 'Recent Folders' options to the destination' (either file name or browse button) context menus in Build/Read mode, and option to automatically ignore miscompare errors during the verify process.

Version: ImgBurn 2.4.4.0
"I think this was excellent software"
Pros: Very easy to use.
Cons: I only used it to burn a data DVD disk. I found nothing to complain about for this mode of operation.
Summary: I used this software to transfer 1.8 gigabytes of data files from a back up drive to a DVD. I was very impressed with the ease of use and all the feedback information that was presented as it did it's tasks. It presented a running log that gave me... read more >>

Version: ImgBurn 2.4.4.0
"Has more features than competitors."
Pros: Competing products took much too long to add 27,000 files to a DVD. ImgBurn was very fast by comparison. ImgBurn also shows the DVD manufacturer - very comforting to know that your bargain bin DVDs were made in a Sony manufacturing plant.
Cons: Interface was confusing at first, you cannot add both files and folders to the DVD root at the same time.
Summary: I could not get my OEM copy of Nero 7 to install on my OS - Windows 7 Release Candidate.
I tried a couple of other freebee burners (BurnAware and CDBurnerXP) prior to finding a recommendation for ImgBurn on another web site.read more >> -
