"Does the job right, with limits.."
Version: Identity Finder Free Edition 3.5.2
Pros
If you are operating correctly it will find absolutely nothing.
Cons
No reasonable cons - I'm sure folks will complain about anything that is free and limited in ability. One caveat! Do not leave this utility installed on your computer - the bad guys will simply use it to rob you of your valued critical personal ID.
Summary
I like this free version, as my clients who are set up correctly can test their configuration. If they are doing things right, it will find ZERO!
Of course I will admit, they were operating for a few months on a fresh install, and wouldn't have accumulated much hazardous data. Since I can no longer recommend Trend Micro that used to block the release of such data, I can only recommend folks, use a good password/personal ID vault, for working online, and shopping, or you will have to buy the paid version of Identity Finder to clean all that dangerous information up every day! If you see the blood hound on the consol, you have the right utility!
Such passkey/word utilities can be found right here on CNET! I highly recommend following the user reviews. And there are a few good free ones! Just try 'em and see!
I do not work for anyone but myself, and I am not a spammer, so please do not go that route. I just hate cyber-criminals to pieces!! -
"finds alot, but is it finding useful information?"

"Nice interface; may options; seems to do what it says."
Version: Identity Finder Free Edition 3.5.2
Pros
Nicely laid -out interface with many options, most of which are unavailable in this Free edition.
Quickly scanned "846 locations" (don't know if that means 846 means).
The 7 items it flagged were legitimate.Cons
As a Free edition, the options are very, very limited. Was enticing to see all that the software theoretically could have done were it a full edition.
Summary
I can see true value in such software, especially since the purchase price is quite reasonable. But boy, sure would have preferred a time-limited access to the fully-functional version rather than unlimited use of a severely crippled version. Hey, even one run of the functional version would have been much more informative than what the Free edition gave me. But I understand the company's decision on how to protect the potential income.
Ultimately, though, since I was able to see so little of what this software theoretically could do, I decided not to pay for the full version and have uninstalled the Free one. Still, nice software.
