This piece of software is excellent. I like to arrange my icons in a specific way. I was sick and tired of Windows rearranging the icons after a reboot, etc. This FREE application allows me to keep my icons EXACTLY the way that I like them. Thank You!
Cons
Sometimes, when restoring your desktop to a previously saved state, the alignment is just a little bit off on a few icons. Also, I wish it would auto-save or have a setting to allow auto-saving. Sometimes I forget to actually commit the save and I loose the arrangement that I had. Otherwise, this application is PERFECT! Oh, and did I mention, FREE!?!?!

I used to use a simuliar program to keep my Windows98 desktop icons in place. I love it then.
Now I have graduated to Windows XP. I found that this operating system had a "lock desktop items on desktop" program. No need for a Icon Restore program, right.... WRONG. XP crashes and forget where it locked your desktop icons, but this program doesn'tf orget.
GREAT TIME SAVER. A must have program.

I thought upgrading to vista was a nightmare on my icons... i just found out that this program does work in vista. Just right click on your Computer icon and "Save Desktop Icon Layout". ;)
