"Beware!!! Smoke and Mirrors!"
Version: IVM Telephone Answering Attendant 3.03
Cons
This product worked fine for we while still in the testing phase, but after I purchased it the errors started rolling in rendering the product completely useless for my business. The manufacturing company is located in Australia and does not provide contact information. I even purchased an additional support package but never received any technical help from IVM. The software is full of problems, just visit the user form for the program and you can see for yourself. Move on....

"replaces answering machine & message recording"
Version: IVM Telephone Answering Attendant 3.03
Pros
Pretty decent software if u want an answering machine with message recording facility. Works very good on my Data/Fax/Voice modem(connexant chipset). Doesn't need great manual configuration. Self configures/default settings works pretty good.
I am using a Data/Fax/Voice modem (connexant chipset) and a PSTN telephone landline.
Cons
The caller ID functions doesn't seem to be working though my Hardware caller ID attached to my telephone works fine.
I would have liked a better documented help files that could explain every nitty gritty of the software.
I would have liked more pre-recorded messages with the software or to be downladed from the developer site.
I would have liked a call recording fuction that could record the conversation even if the call is answered by a human.

"Satisfied Customer!"
Version: IVM Telephone Answering Attendant 3.03
Pros
Intuitive - easy to use, free add-ons such as WavePad sound editor available online, no programming experience required! If you are looking for a computer-driven small to medium office phone attendant software program with a bunch of bells and whistles this is your program!
Cons
Pricey for the Professional version (US$190 ON SALE!), you MUST have a VOICE MODEM or VOIP installed in your computer to make this program function... data/fax modems WILL NOT WORK! :-(

"The thing I wanted whole my life."
Version: IVM Telephone Answering Attendant 3.03
Pros
Whan I broke my phone in a fight it replaced it completely, simply using mic and phones and a PC. Lol.
In fact, accessing all the functions which you want to access the moment is a great way to use a program. Unlike a planet of progies around. Plus, everything is ready just before you start using it, so tweaking a bit is also unnecesary, and if you would like your voice, or if you would like custom messages, you simply synthesize it via Microssoft Voice and voile. Using my Fruity Loops music as a message background was a bliss.
PLUUUUUS
Groups of messages in folder so you can concatenate, or manipulate or what ever you dreamed of.
It is just the 100% that what you are looking for. I am an independant source. And you can check my background reviews for pcAnywhere and alike.
Cons
I go under rarely.

"Ok Software; Terrible Customer Support"
Version: IVM Telephone Answering Attendant 2.43
Pros
Ok software that gets the job done.
Cons
Horrible customer support. I purchased a copy of this software (which was over $80 at the time). After re-installing my operating system, the software went back to an "unregistered" state and eventually stopped working. The company refused to supply me with a new key to unlock the software. I didn't want an upgrade to the new version, I just wanted to get the same old version working that I'd been licensed to use. They just kept insisting that I downgrade to an earlier version (that was unusable due to an acknowledged bug) or upgrade to a newer version (which of course would cost more money). I tried for days to get the issue resolved, but to no avail. This was the worst customer experience of my life.
