"It's actually work, but little tricky. Read my instruction!!!"
Version: ISO Recorder (Windows XP/2003 Server 32-bit) 2
Pros
After you finished install software, put your Windows XP/2003 CD in,
1. Open My Computer,
2. Right click on the CD-ROM Drive (where Windows CD Drive), choose "Create image from CD"
3. Choose your "From :" (where Windows CD Drive) and "To" (click on the "..." and choose the location where you want to save and also put the name for the ISO file). Then click Next.
4. Click "Finish"
I actually tried for myself for my VMware server and it worked
Cons
This software look like not a "stand-alone" software since i could not find the executable file in the folder C:\Program Files\Alex Feinman\..
But still it's a free software. For more information, please go to its author pages and Donate something if it works for you.

"Doesn't work"
Version: ISO Recorder (Windows XP/2003 Server 32-bit) 2
Cons
The rotting thing won't create an image. I tell it what disk to record, tell it where to put the ISO when it's done, click "Finish", and it immediately tells me the operation is completed. But where's the ISO? Clearly it's broken, and it doesn't come with docs.

"looks to be super simple if you have the right media"
Version: ISO Recorder (Windows XP/2003 Server 32-bit) 2
Pros
looks to be super simple although it wouldn't do any of the things I tried
Cons
it acts like it is completing what you ask it to but it just says finished and complete and then when you look for it you find it isn't there.
Limited os/media use

"Not sure how I lived without it..."
Version: ISO Recorder (Windows XP/2003 Server 32-bit) 2
Pros
After downloading v2 and finding out that it does NOT work with Vista, I went to the authors web page and found there is a v3 specificially for the new OS. It works great! I put it on both my desktop and single-dive laptop, and making an exact copy of a cd or dvd is a simple as right click, copy cd to cd, next. I cannot get over how incredibly simple this small program is.
Cons
It would have been nice to know that v2 did not work with Vista. Go to the authors webpage to download v3.

"didn't work"
Version: ISO Recorder (Windows XP/2003 Server 32-bit) 2
Pros
Liked how easy it was to start creating a cd image, unfortunatly...
Cons
every cd I tried to creat an image for with this program I got an error message 000000017. There is no documentation so it was impossible to know what the problem was.

"Worked Great!!!!"
Version: ISO Recorder (Windows XP/2003 Server 32-bit) 2
Pros
Installed quick and easy on XP Pro and worked as advertized. It's FREE!!!
Cons
Nothing. If you can't figure this one out you're not reading this, because you're not smart enough to start your computer and search for this program.

"Best ISO creator tool - FREE from MICROSOFT and does the work!"
Version: ISO Recorder (Windows XP/2003 Server 32-bit) 2
Pros
Works great. Very light install. After installing the tool all you need to do is RIGHT CLICK on your CD or DVD drive. You'll then see options to create ISO, copy CD's etc'. No manuals needed! the ISO files will go by default to the root of your user folder under "Documents and Settings".

"The Best Burning!!!"
Version: ISO Recorder (Windows XP/2003 Server 32-bit) 2
Pros
I have tested almost all freeware from download.com for CD burning and I found this is the best. Only 300 KB. Can Copy CD to CD (DVD on Win Vista), CD/DVD to ISO, ISO to CD/DVD. Just right click on your CD Drive then you will see this program feature. Very easy to use.
Cons
Lack of documentation.
