"Best utility of it's kind for OS X"

    December 4, 2009  |   By jimcobber

    Version: IPNetMonitorX 2.5c4

    Pros

Easy to use, fast and accurate. Complete swiss army knife of IP utilities.

    Cons

    No beefs at all.

    Summary

If you are a network professional who works with a Mac, you simply have to have this utility. If you understand TCP/IP and want to diagnose your own problems, this is the way to go.

if you need a tool to deal with tcp/ip and all the other quirks of your network this is it. i love the link rate tool that allows you to see what the actual link rate in the LAN or WAN really is!

    "Comments on IPNetMornitorX 150"

    October 20, 2004  |   By TechnoAcolyte

    Version: IPNetMonitorX 1.5

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have been using this product since "back in the day" of OS 9 when it first came out. There are very few competitors to this product that have as many features, or that allow quite so many upgrades before one is required to pay an update fee, or that have worked flawlessly for me from OS 10.0 to 10.3.5. NO, I don't work for the company or have any interest in it, except being a very satisfied customer who also owns at least one other of their OS X products, IPNetTunerX 120.

Yes, I know of multi-purpose products that allow tuning the TCP/IP stack that are free or lower in cost. IPNetTuner 120, however, has been around since OS 9 & continues to be improved by the vendor, increasing the number of TCP/IP parameters that can be modified. The vendor also provides suggestions for custom tuning to one's own peculiar situation, which is something I really have not seen with the multi-purpose products.

All in all, I'm just a very happy Mac camper because the software does what the vendor claims (Microsoft aside, that is becoming rare now a days for version 1.0 products & on-ward) and is task specific, something I prefer over tools which claim to do everything: disk help, system help, TCP/IP help, and on & on. It's true, I own a few multi-purpose tools like TinkerTool System & Cocktail, but for me, these are the exception, and not the rule. HTH.

    "Beta? More stable than most"

    September 25, 2004  |   By absolute_support

    Version: IPNetMonitorX 1.5c4

    Summary

Does exactly what it says on the tin. (sorry British in-joke)

I've been using NetMonitor for over a year now and it's one of the best network utilites I've found.

It's about time Apple took notice and intergrated some of these features in Network Utility.

    "Very Useful Utility"

    August 7, 2003  |   By RAngol

    Version: IPNetMonitorX 1.3c1

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
And it's one of those rare apps that's fun to play around with. It provides a good education for the newbie user and should meet the demands of the more demanding, experienced user. I also like its "companion," IPNetTunerX. Between the two of them I've learned more about the Internet in the last year or so than in the previous ten years combined.
