"Displays your IP address in your menu bar"
Version: IP in menubar 4.2
Pros
It is useful to have your IP (Internet Protocol) address displayed in your menu bar because it saves you the bother of going to Preferences/Network to find out. This facility is useful when you want to use file sharing with your current machine from another computer. When you connect to the internet using a Dynamic server, your IP address can be different from what it was during your last session, which is where "IP in menubar 4.2" comes in handy.
Cons
Only works on an Intel Macintosh.

"i'm not impressed"
Version: IP in menubar 4.2
Pros
displays your IP address in your menu bar
Cons
rather than display your local and WAN IP addresses at one click like most IP-in-menu-bar-type apps, this one requires that you click the menu item, then click "Router" in the menu to see your WAN IP...at which point your local IP disappears.
Summary
this app takes a clunky, inelegant approach to the functionality provided much more gracefully by other apps like IP Address Menu and, best of all, BwanaDik. it's like it was written by somebody without a LAN, and who doesn't think like someone on a LAN. it's nice that it can display your IP address in the menu bar, but it takes too many clicks to get to whichever IP address is not currently being displayed.

"Does exactly as claimed, perfectly."
Version: IP in menubar 4.2
Pros
Extremely easy, extremely helpful.
Cons
hmmm, I guess they could pay me a million dollars to endorse it. Is that excessive?
Summary
Despite not being paid to endorse it, I DO recommend this highly to anyone who needs their IP address easily and quickly accessible.
