"Why does CNET support a company with a disreputable hx?"
Version: IObit Malware Fighter 1.7
Pros
They offer a free download if you are willing to take the risk.
Cons
Read about this company on the web. They appear to be less than ethical. Accused of data mining, stealing intellectual property from Malwarebytes, implanting spyware with installs. Why does CNET support and endorse a company like this?
Summary
Disreputable company.

"Worthless crapware"
Version: IObit Malware Fighter 1.7
Pros
Only "Pro" is that it's free.
Cons
Cannot be updated.
Summary
When one installs this, one receives a message that it must be updated. When one attempts to update, one is routed to a site called "majorgeeks.com"
When one attempts to download the update, one receives an error message that the commands are being redirected in a way which will not complete. I lowered the security levels on my browser and the error still kept popping up. With other anti-malware software out there which is free and does not use problematic third party hosts as majorgeeks.com to handle downloads, this one should be bypassed for those other products. -
