"works but at a cost"
Version: HyperTerminal Private Edition 7.0
Pros
totally works; hyper terminal for windows 7
Cons
Claro toolbar and hijacked browser (and only 30 day trial)
Summary
You can totally get what you need to do done, but then you'll fight the Claro ~!@#$%^&*()_+ (which for the record, did the advanced install and unchecked, but alas, still installed); 3 stars for working, zero stars for bloatware.
NOTE: be sure to uninstall "Browser Manager" after installing this (in addition to the two Claro programs installed).

"Tells you to update items no longer used."
Version: HyperTerminal Private Edition 7.0
Pros
Easy to use
Cons
Don't like being told to update a dial up when on broadband. Do not like being told to update programs that autimatically update themselves every day. Very annoying and will be uninstalling.

"Never use it..."
Version: HyperTerminal Private Edition 7.0
Pros
It's the latest and greatest... whatever that means.
Cons
The only reason I updated it was because CNET Tech Tracker said it was out of date. I doubt I need it any more.
Summary
Meh.
