OK, you've downloaded LimeWire and you're itching to start file sharing. We've created this step-by-step guide to help you along the way.

If you chose Save when you were prompted by the File Download window,
locate the icon for the LimeWire setup file. Normally, it can be found right on
your desktop. The filename will be LimeWireWin.exe. If you saved the file to a
different folder on your computer, open that folder and click the LimeWire setup file icon.
If you chose Open when you were prompted, the setup program should have already
started running once the download was complete, and you can proceed to Step 2.

You'll be prompted to select a language for the installer. We'll assume you've chosen English, which is the default. Click OK to proceed. The next window is simply a welcome screen. At this point, you may want to close any other applications running on your computer. Once you're ready, click the Next button.

The following screen allows you to choose the folder where LimeWire will install. Normally,
you do not need to change anything here. If you'd like to install LimeWire to a different folder than the default location, click the Browse button and select a new folder. Otherwise, click the Install button to proceed.

Once you've clicked the Install button, LimeWire will begin installing. In a few moments, you'll see a final window letting you know installation has completed. There's an option to immediately run LimeWire, which is selected by default. Leave this option checked, and click the Finish button to begin using LimeWire.
