Obviously hostile space is the best MMORPG ever made! Very simple 2D gameplay, Keeps the importance on the skill of the player instead of visual stimulation.
The small player base leads to very close relationships between everybody online. It is a community of friends and of course enemies, It is called HOSTILE SPACE.
No need to pay for anything to try the game, No credit card info neccessary at all. You recieve full gameplay with the free trial membership, You simply will not be allowed to get full benefits of a paid membership.
If you decide to try it, Dont be shy! Get online, Jump on the shout channel using /s command, And let everybody know you are the new guy. We are happy to have people there.
I am known as the Sherminator. My alternates are Rainman, Redeath, Grindaviking, Merkviking, and Sperminator. I will be happy to point anybody in the right direction. Or you can just push the PVP enabled button and call me a newb and see what happens :)

No cons! Other reviews saying that Blitz is the sole creator and it is a "one man show" are accurate. However, that is what makes it the amazing game it is. What other games can you communicate with the creator of the game? You can let him know your inputs and which direction you would like the game to go.

HS is a fun, easy to learn game that offers a great community and an incredibly large universe to explore. The game offers a challenge whether you like to play by yourself or you decide to join up with others to combine forces.
You can join clans and try to overthrow other clans bases, get a group of friends together and take on a big boss, or take a pvp approach and try your skill against other players.
Blitz, the creator of the HostileSpace has been working hard lately to add lots of enhancements to the game environment. New bosses, new quest, and new equipment for noobs and experienced players are being added more regularly. Enhancements like these are adding new excitement for the old and new player base.
I have been playing HS for about 3 years and there is a great player base.
My recommendation would be for you to try the game for free (absolutely no catch or payment setup required) and see how you like HS. If you find yourself addicted to the game, which I am sure you will, and want to unlock all the possibilities then set up your payment options at that time.
The forums are excellent for finding answers to the common asked questions. Plus the Shout feature in the game is very helpful for getting assistance.
Cons
It's already been noted, but Blitz is a one man show and there are occasional bugs that need fixing. On a positive note, the bugs are usually minor flaws that generally only affect a minimal amount of the community.
The graphics are nothing to brag about, but I really like the interface.

Pros
Hostile Space is probably unlike any MMORPG that you have previously played. It stays true to the basics; letting you pick a character and race which you use to gain exp and acquire better equipment, however the setting is unlike your standard third person kak.
The graphics are very plain but effective - this is not a game which is trying to be realistic, and this type of game ages well. If you have ever played any of the EV series or Continuum (Subsapce) then these give you an idea of what to expect.
Action is fun and relies on using your skills, equipment and maneuverability, especially later on against bosses. The community is small but quite friendly and helpfull at most times, it is easy to get yourself into a good clan who will help you make the most of your class.
The game lasts as long as you want it to. You can spend your time building up the best gear in the game (which is a powerful part of this game, stoning and upgrading means that the most creative people can make the best gear) or you can use the tiering system to slowly improve the stats of your character.
Give it a shot and see if you like it, there's a steep learning curve but thats what the forums and the chat is for, people are happy to help. This guide may also be helpfull if a little out of date - hsguide.net
Cons
The only qualms I have about this game is that it's always in a state of change, there are some issues to do with stability and balancing that need to be addressed. However HS is a one man show, Blitz doesn't have time to test everything to death himself so it's really up to the community.
