Version: Hoster 3.317
"Overpriced, Cumbersome, NOT user friendly"
Pros: There are alot of options like the marque, sound effects. It's nice to see how long the wait is. But that's it.
Cons: There are sooo many requirements to add music to the library. Brand, Song Name, Song Number, Song Title and you still have to chose -'s /'s or you can't add music. Havn't figured out how to add an externa HDD.
Summary: If you new the world of PC's and software (yes, they do exist, my boss included) this is not a program you want. It takes months to add your music from CD's to the software's music library. There will be errors, bad files and alot of wasted time. I'm a fairly experienced person with PC's and this program is too complicated for me to sit and waste time renaming, entering every singal disc id, brand, etc. Now that it's 2009, a simple external hard drive, hooked up to my laptop running Karma Karaoke, I'm able to setup my show in less than 5 minutes. I don't work for them, and there are other software availble that is more intuitive. Personally, I dred using MTU Hoster. After looking at the website and comparing the cheapest laptop Dell offers to the MTU laptop, I can't see spending $1900 for a Laptop that is similar to the $500 Dell. The MTU hardrive isn't even SSD (solid state drive). The keyboard is waterproof, and the hardrive can withstand falls from 30 inches??? I don't know anyone who runs a show on a table 2 1/2 feet from the floor. If someone drops the laptop, it's going to be from higher than that. It seems to me that MTU Hoster is trying to sell outdated overpriced software with overpriced hardware. Just my 2cents.
