    "Scanned okay, then demanded money."

    January 13, 2011  |   By 0olong

Found several things that Mcafee and Malwarebytes had missed.

Refused to actually do anything useful - despite what it says here about a 30-day free trial, all I got - at the END of the scan - was a request for money. No sign of any trial at all.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I resent having money demanded from me after downloading something that's supposed to have a free trial, AFTER spending 15 minutes running a scan. It seems like good software otherwise, but wth?

Apparently: "Indeed Hitman Pro offers a free trial of 30 days. You can find that button under 'Settings' and 'License'.

If you don't see the button 'Activate free trial' your account is probably part of a domain (business network) or the license is already used."

I guess I'm screwed because I'm on a university network, then. Oh well...
