"Flexible portable text editor for developers and admins"

First it is so great to have an portable editor that runs in portable mode!
Not only it runs from an USB-Stick Thumps-Drive, no you can copy the editor
on all pcs you work on: your pc, your laptop, your work pc, your wifes or friends pc.Cons
Right now i miss some things like spell checker and macro, but this is announced
for the next release. Since this is version 1.45 i am very curios what will come
till this goes to version 12 too like Ultraedit.Summary

I mean hey, column edit mode is so fine, select a few lines and start typing
and in all lines you insert the same... grandiose ! Before 2 months i found an discount for HippoEDIT (just google for RID500 HippoEDIT *******) and then i did buy this thing and it is a good feeling to work with paid software !!!

at the download bar/menu of driver update there is no delete function so that you can delete the suggested programs you don't want

The smartest editor I have ever encountered with. Endlessly customizable, with support for all major programming languages, has nearly the same array of features found in such aces of editing as MS Visual Studio IDE.
Cons
The support for macros and/or scripting is not there, but coming.

Pros
Very powerful and easy to use editor with extended list of supported programmer languages. Strong personalization allows me to customize this editor as I like.
As my opinion, the editor is very good as fast viewer for mixed content.
Cons
will be nice to have a plug-in mechanism for 3rd party developers

Perfect universal programmer’s editor for every day use.
Very good UI design and source code highlighting possibilities.
Especially I liked Visual Studio like code outlining feature with display of current scope.
Something special in comparing to other text editor! Use it.

"Comfortable, fast and flexible editor"

Pros
I have never seen editor with so rich visualization possibilities. For example it shows modified lines, current scope (not only when you click near brace, but always when you are inside pair), mark search results in a code etc.
One more thing I like, it implementation of multihighlighter for HTML. Editor recognizes correctly CSS, JavaScript and PHP blocks, plus also uses language specific formatting/commenting/suggestions in every block. Cool.
In same time it starts fast, eats not much memory, has tabs and modern interface.

Pros
I like it. I even could not imagine that I can find so much functionality in a not specialized editor and in the same time don't get such overcrowded monster as Ultraedit. Everything is intuitive and context sensitive.
In comparison to other editors it can really 'understand' programming language. The syntax definition is very powerful. Mostly everything is customizable, so it was easy to me to create a schema for my own scripting language. And a lot of features you get for free if you maintain syntax correctly.
Some features are really powerful as Code Hints and Code Templates.
I would say $30 is too cheap for it :).
Cons
Some functionality is still missing, as File Search for example, but I hope this would come with new version.
