This application can effectively hide your computer's physical address, though its stingy trial period won't appeal to anyone.
Hide My MAC Address has a straightforward interface that displays your network adapter and your computer's real Media Access Control (MAC) address. One click on the Hide button and the program assigns you a new MAC address. The advanced mode let us create our own MAC address and returned quick, accurate results. We tried using another program to retrieve our test PC's real MAC address and Hide My MAC efficiently protected our system.
Offered under a tight-fisted 3-day trial period, this simple program adds an effective layer of security to your system.
Publisher's description
From Hide-My-IP :Anyone with the right tools can track your Internet activity if they know your MAC Address. Your MAC Address is continuously being sent over WiFi networks, even if they use secure WEP/WPA Encryption. Fool MAC-based ACLs (Access Control Lists) by cloning the MAC address of a computer that is already authorized to use a WiFi network.

Version: Hide My MAC Address 1
Pros: It certainly does what it says, however three days testing is far from enough.
Cons: When I uninstalled this programme via the Add/remove windows uninstaller,I was informed that sections were not removed, but can be removed manually(whatever that means!?)Then previously installed Wi-fi hotspot locators that had been working fine kept saying I had no hardware installed(which I certainly have) In it,s download agreement the accept or not did warn It would not be responsible for any damage. From My experiance I would strongly advise avoiding this product.I must also mention It,s sister product(Hide My ip)until recently hijacked Firefox,s Homepage after the trial period,It did give instructions as to undo that but I think the ordinary guy had not a hope of following the instructions.Avoid both unless You can afford a subscription forever to both !That was my experiance,Personally I do not trust these guys.
Thank you
