"Great - except for a lockout on My Documents"
Pros: When it works, it works well
Cons: I have been using Hidemyfiles for some time now andhave had no problems with it.......... Until now.
Recently, I locked some folders, including "My Documents", but when I tried to unlock them, the "My Documents" folder would not unlock. I noticed that I had a second "My Documents" folder, but all that it had was a "My Pictures" folder that was empty.
The original "My Documents" was still named properly, but now it contains all of the Control Panel folders. The folder is way too large for Control Panel, because it is more than 33GB in size - about right for what I had saved in there.
I tried reinstalling HideMyFiles, but that didn't work even though I used the same password.
I cannot restore to an earlier date, because there are no more previous dates on the restore calendar.
Please advise on what options I may have at this point - HELP!!
