CNET Editors' review
HealthFrame Explorer does a fabulous job of keeping medical records and personal information in a neat, orderly fashion, though it may be overkill for families.
Requiring 22MB of space to install, the program comes with two sample personal health records to guide you. The skinnable interface is neatly organized to quickly pull up specific entries. You'll be able to input personal information including emergency contacts, family members, insurance information, medications, vaccinations and illnesses.
Graphs to track glucose levels, weight gain and height are easily configured and read. You can even upload a photo of family members that will appear alongside their information. We also found options to log communications and visits with healthcare providers, complete with the date, business name, contact, and a quick synopsis of the happenings. Printable forms can be used to quickly fill out paperwork.
You'll rest easy knowing the information contained within the program can be password-protected. The typical family won't really need everything it has to offer, but this 15-day program would certainly be beneficial to schools, small medical facilities, and athletic organizations.

"helpful if you deal with more than one doctor"
Version: HealthFrame Explorer 2.1.6
Pros
Easy to keep track of records from multiple sources. Nice graphs and reports.
Cons
Hard to collect records from doctors to get input into software.
-
"Expense management is good"
Version: HealthFrame Explorer 2.1.2
Pros
I have a lot of health records in Excel. With HealthFrame I can track the expense with the visits, meds, etc AND I can export to Excel - it seems you can't do that with Quicken Medical Expenses...
Cons
I'd like to see more importing and exchanging with MS Money.

Pros
Easy to use. Helps me to keep my family's health information organized.
-
"It's got all the medical stuff I need for my family"
Version: HealthFrame Explorer 1.0.1
Pros
I like the health journals and the medical summary and family history reports. It was great when I saw my doctor. In less than 20 minutes of use I had my own emergency card. All my allergies and medications. The product NEVER crashed, like some others I tried!

"Waste of time."
Version: HealthFrame Explorer 1.0.1
Cons
Very non-user friendly, interface is confusing at best. If you're looking for a simple product to manage your family's health, this is definitely not it. Don't waste your time downloading this. Use WebMD or securamed.com.
