Decent software, that is fun, but not perfect.
Too many crashes and cheaters. You will not be allowed into many games, and some games allow you to be kicked out if you're winning, for no reason what so ever. Old timers there have figured out how to scam the other players to improve their win record. I paid for a full yr in Dec. 2013, and b4 the month was up have asked for a refund. Save yourself the humiliation of paying to be cheated out of a good time.
Better than nothing
Partner is a trick magnet--continues to take tricks even after making bid & with no hope of setting others. Partner only intent on making own bid, often undercuts team mate. No dummy has any idea of how to play Nil hand.
I purchased it because I couldn't find anything better which isn't saying much for what's out there.
there is always something to do i mean as long as you feel up to playing, the players make themselves available.even though its computer its fun.
i don't know how to stop my partener from under bidding so i over bid at times
Variety of Play! You can play so many ways, partners and individual games. You can play nil or no nil games as well as mirrors. I love the fooms where you can throw things at your opponents or give them love.
Character creation is the best!
You have to play 20 games before you become rated!
Really fun and addictive site! Some players like to keep their ratings high by only playing with players in their range, but very few. It's very easy to get a high rating and you can have multiple characters as well. HW sometimes has server issues and occasionally a player may have a slow response time, if they are on dial up.
Good for kids to play very regimented if playing with others.
A huge disappointment for me because I love to play spades online. it may be ok for you. The rating system is worthless from what I saw because of rating manipulation. Not much competition to play. Players put what cards to pass in their profiles.
First if you don't read the contract really careful you will probably think you are buying an online game< YOU ARE NOT. You are just buying the software... you play online as a privilege which from my observation gets taken away all the time. The offline version even on the most difficult level can be beat by a 5 year old. They have monitors or guides that run the place as if in grade school. I can't believe I was stupid enough to buy this game. The trial period only let me play twice which didn't give me a realistic picture of how the site is run online. Trust me stick to the other online sites they are a lot better than this one. Playing online is like playing with a good boys club. You can rarely get a good game to play because the higher rated people only play each other. I could list many other reasons... but I think you get the idea. If you like graphics, bells and whistles and think that those features deserve 20+ dollars then go for it.
This game by Hardwood has some awsome graphics. The computer plays well and will surelly challenge you.
Very few features and variations.
