  Cons

  Configuring effectively is no mean task. You will likely be unsure how to configure & probably never know what's happening unless the temperature setting is exceeded. There ought to be a set of default configurations to choose from.

  Summary

  Very techie solution to a problem that is unlikley to arise now that HDDs have become so much more reliable. Do not know the resource drain which may or may not be significant.

  Pros

  The best HD monitor on the market. I've reviewed many of them, and HD Sentinel Pro was the most comprehensive. Great customer service. I had problem accessing the discussion board and the developer responded and resolved quickly.

  Cons

  The only problem I've had is the dashboard configuration isn't restored after importing a saved configuration.
