"I love this game, but..."
Version: Halo for Windows Trial Version 1
Pros
Great gameplay. Intriguing and enchanting environments during gameplay (nothing like splattering an alien across a beautiful snowscape). Great balance of action, humorous effects, story, and smart and concise AI interface.
Cons
Why the heck did Microsoft wait the better part of a decade to put this out for PC? Halo for PC has actually been around since 1999!!! But Microsoft shelved it at the last minute for two reasons: 1., they thought the game would be suited on a more powerful station for play than what most home-based PC users were running at the time. And 2., they decided at the very last second to hold it over as the exclusive XBOX flagship during it's debut. But that being said, why did they wait this long? If it would have come out say 1 year after the 1st XBOX went on sale, people would have devoured it!!! But waiting a few extra years to hit the PC just kills it's luster. There are too many games out there now that offer much more superb AI effects and depth... this is a fun game, but Microsoft held on to the PC release of this for too long to be truly effective and huge for PC gamers.
