A new native Cocoa news reader for reading news on- and offline via NNTP. Halime is a subscription oriented newsreader which helps keep track off different subjects on the net with different, multiple subscriptions. It supports multiple news servers, binary extraction, makes extensive use of the Macintosh Aqua user interface, and a lot more. And above all, it is free! Please note: This is a technology preview missing a lot of features which will be implemented in the next few weeks.
What's new in this version:
- Refreshing of Server Groups list (didn't work before) in the "Add Groups Sheet"
- Add Group button in the "Add Groups Sheet" adds the selected group without closing the sheet. Also double-clicking on the group name adds it, too
- Group name abbreviation, e.g. comp.sys.mac.comm becomes c.s.m.comm, on the other hand de.comp.sys.mac.internet becomes de.c.s.m.internet (assuming that two-letter group-hierarchies are country-specific so they are not abbr... See all new features »
