From Technology Networks :

HTTPort establishes a transparent TCP/IP tunnel through a proxy server. This allows your software to use any of the Internet services based on TCP/IP while being under proxy and blocks your local network administrator from logging your activity. This version uses an improved proxy bypass technique, which allows you to bypass virtually any HTTP proxy, and adds Windows 2000 compatibility.

This update adds a built-in SOCKS4 server, which now makes it possibleto use HTTPort with ICQ, FTP, and any other software that iscapable of connecting through a SOCKS server. Also added is a trafficencryption feature.
