It does what is said, splits files and rejoins them. Very simple interface, just browse to the file and enter how big you want the chunks to be and it splits.
Cons
Nothing wrong with it.

If you need a simple file splitter without waiting for compression like with zip utilities, then this program is lightweight and great.

Just one tiny little thing; it would be nice to be able to disable the nag window that asks if you are sure you want to exit the program.
Summary
HJ-split was the very first file joiner/splitter that I used. And it has never crashed, and all the files it has handled have worked. It is the one I keep coming back too. Great work, and thanks Freebyte!

It works only you tell it EVERYTHING.
Cons
It requires people to use a new program when the programs they have (ie. WinRAR/QuickPAR) will do the same things better. Even if you are already in the right, you still have to tell this program where to go!
Summary
Siince people has a RAR/ZIP program and PAR program that does the same thing better,there's no need for this one.
If you want to use it for yourself, fine. But don't force anyone else to use it by posting files in this format! -

Confused as a compressed file when first seen. Took me days to figure out it was an splitted file.

The best thing will be you don't have to install to use it. Reason for giving 4 stars is because I expect it will be better later. Will save a star for then.

Easy to use, just locate the .001 part of the file and the program does the rest. Have never had any problems with assembling the complete file.

None that I have found yet - after 2 years of use
Summary
I like any product that is simple to use - and does its job efficiently. In my experience HJ Split always does its job and it couldn't be simpler to use - just browse for the .001 segment and hit 'Join'.
