    "Gotta buy to use"

    February 6, 2010  |   By Petoskey116

    Version: HDClone Free Edition 3.8.3

    Pros

    None, this program sucks.

    Cons

You can only copy from Drive to Drive, and nothing else.

It also likes to lock up on you as well. I wouldn't trust it.

"Couldn't get the mouse and keyboard to work."

    January 30, 2010  |   By JustaHuman

    Version: HDClone Free Edition 3.8.3

    Pros

    None - since I couldn't do anything.

    Cons

I could not get the mouse or the keyboard to work when the system boots up into the HDClone program. I treid every workaround I found in the users forum but nothing worked.

    Summary

I was running Windows 7 but that shouldn't have anything to do with it since the program was running before Windows. My motherboard is an IntelĀ® Desktop Board DP55WB.

    January 16, 2010  |   By kedmadox

    Pros

Easy to use, does what it promises to do A+++. I used this software on two of my PCs...worked great and no sweat

    Cons

Free version takes a lot of time - no complaints though

    Summary

Why pay $69.00 for Norton Ghost when the free version of HDClone does the same thing safely

"The free edition is of limited utility."

    December 29, 2008  |   By mussar

    Version: HDClone Free Edition 3.7.3

    Pros

I have used other products from the developers of this product and have thought that they were useful. The limited utility of this version makes it difficult to predict how the full-featured products would perform.

    Cons

This version is so limited that an honest appraisal of the Basic or Standard versions is not possible. However, I do think that other similar products may have more options for cloning drives are partitions than this product does.

    Summary

I would not waste my time with this version of the product. The full-featured versions would certainly have more utility than this version but, even so, I am skeptical that this product is one best of its class.

    "Free BUT NOT good!"

    August 3, 2008  |   By Grimbles

    Version: HDClone Free Edition 3.6.1

    Pros

This is okay if all you want to do is transfer contents of one hard drive to another larger one...but it is very slow in performing that task because, not only is the transfer rate minimal but it copies across all unused sectors as well.

    Cons

Useless for backups as it will only copy to larger capacity hard drive AND copies all unused sectors across as well. There are much better alternatives available.

    "free version is Garbage."

    July 21, 2008  |   By koolbrew

    Version: HDClone Free Edition 3.5.4

    Pros

I can't think of any pros other than the reviews they contrive for themselves are pretty well-written.

    Cons

    sloooowwww and forget free!!

    Summary

You should never trust a company that writes their own 4 and 5 star reviews. That brings the average up. They should be removed.
