Version: Gutterball 3D 1.0
"Well designed game and imaginative"
Summary: First, it should be noted that Gutterball has three different types of bowling alleys. Cosmic Lanes and Wacky Alley are primarily for younger children and have far out colors and lanes. The pins practically fly away on Cosmic Lanes and are easy to knock down. It took us 12 trys to bowl a 300 on Cosmic Lanes. Scores of 250 and above are very easy to get. Wacky Alley is even more colorful
and only a little more difficult to play. These two alleys have almost psychedelic colors. The best
alley and the one that is quite similar to real bowling is the
Retro Bowl alley. After playing
over 500 games on this alley we have only fifteen games above 225 and only one score of 249 with no 300 games at all. This alley is very good, and quite challenging for kids and adults alike. In fact,
it is sufficiently difficult that if you use just that alley during the trial you may get a little discouraged since the ball's trajectory is difficult to control, as in real bowling. The
daily worldwide web scores for Retro Bowl, from literally all
over the world (as you will see if you buy the game and post your scores,)will show just a few 300
games. If you can score 250 on the Retro Bowl alley that is very, very good. The full screen game is better than the more limited scale of the trial game, and the colors on full screen are quite good.
The male commentator's remarks
are kind of crazy humor, but some
remarks are really pretty funny. There is a shrill woman's laugh that is annoying too. If you don't like the voice over sound just turn it off and listen to the bowling sounds. This is a good game overall.
