Pros
No Pros if Grooveshark is just for dropping viruses on your computer
Cons

Summary
It would make since that they would launch the website let it grow in popularity then slowly begin there attack. I clicked on a song link grooveshark loaded a new page then Windows defender sent a virus warning.
Windows defender stopped the virus and quarantined it as Trojan: Win32/Alureon.DA

"GREAT AT FIRST IT DUMPS WEIRD FILES INTO YOUR COMPUTER"
Version: Grooveshark
Pros
At 1st it seemed like a true music utopia, but as with all things too good to be true I found myself becoming suspicious of this site the more I lurked and listened to free almost anything. The pop ups came. The weird files showing up in my playlist.
Cons
WASTE OF TIME
Summary
Pop ups.
Viruses.
Bull Crap.
Oh yeah I have housework to do.

"BEST ONLINE PLAYER AVAILABLE...!"
Version: Grooveshark
Pros
Everything.
Cons
None. Free mobile APP would be cool, but somebody has to make money somewhere, and $30 a year is a good deal for unlimited music. WebOS & iPhone APP not available at the date of this post, but customer service says it will be available soon.
Summary
Easy to use interface, found every song I have ever looked for (even really old one's), I especially like the ability to drag and drop your selections with in your play list, makes keeping it all organized very simple, fast customer support (responded within 24 hours when I sent an e-mail asking when a Palm WebOS app would be available). Mobile APPs available for Blackberry & Android users ($3 monthly or $30 yearly for as much music as you can listen to) WebOS and iPhone APP coming soon (another forum said around March). Create play lists, I don't even have to upload music to any of my computers or devices, just create a play list online and it is available on any computer I am near with Internet access. I don't know what the previous post is talking about in regards to virus's. I have been using it for quite a while now and consider myself an experienced computer user and I have not had ANY problems. If you were using it in a work environment my first guess would be he got infected by other means (probably downloaded something he was not supposed to or went to a bad site). Besides that it is not like Limewire you are not downloading anything to your computer, it is a streaming music service online, NO software or music is downloaded or installed.

"Free viruses with your music."
Version: Grooveshark
Pros
The features and funtionality don't matter if you want to keep your computer virus-free.
Cons
I spent my whole night restoring my laptop.
Summary
I used Grooveshark for a few days and got infected with viruses twice. I did my research first and it seemed safe but apparently not- don't use it. I hadn't had a virus for years before Grooveshark- now I remember why I don't use services like this one.

"Great selection, improved with new version, love it"
Version: Grooveshark
Pros
Great selection, great interface, favorites saves time. This is essentially a very clean, quality youtube for music from all sources. If they don't have what you already own and would like to listen to, then you can upload your own tunes.
Cons
You can not favorite albums with a free account. Sometimes the site isn't 100% reliable. At the time of writing this I am unaware of a Grooveshark iTunes app. If you don't own the music and it's not on there then you can't listen to it. Duh.
Summary
I have known about Grooveshark for about 4 months, and when I first started using it was a bit clunky. In the last month, though, the programming team released a new version of the site that has massively improved, you can make playlists and keep favorites as well as have friends and see their favorites. This combines Pandora and Youtube function for music and gives users a way to buy music legitimately or stream any song as many times as you want whenever you want. I will keep using it for a long, long time.

"Gives who a cut of the profits?"
Version: Grooveshark
Pros
Online streaming music is great. I pay for mine, $36/year isn't too much to ask. The 'sharks would have to swallow their pride before they went into these waters 'cause they said they were above charging for their music exchange/listening service.
Cons
Grooveshark told those who joined that they were different than other start-ups and would make sure that artists and their labels got paid. Apparently the advertising dollars they pulled in didn't get any further than their own bank account.
Summary
"...the site rewards you by giving you a cut of the profits for each song you sell." - Nice in theory, but it can't be working or else 'Greedshark' wouldn't be getting sued by other record companies.
