Version: Google Talk 1.0.0.104
Pros: Google chat is a very clean, simple way to chat with friends and family. Using your google account, you can chat with any other gmail user. The interface is clean, and uncluttered. It comes with a few different appearance options, although I don't see any option for 3rd party enhancements. You can also change the font to a number of options. The settings are pretty straightforward. The simplicity of this chat client is really great. It also offers video and voice chatting, as well as PC-to-PC calling.
Cons: Again, there are few customization options. For example, there are no 3rd party themes, or even that many themes from Google for the Google Chat software. You can change the fonts, but not the color of the fonts. Also, the pictures that you can choose from are pretty lame, and if you want to add your own, prepare for it to come out near unrecognizable. Still overall, great software from Google.

Cons: IF AIM IS SUPPORTED BY GMAIL CHAT, THEN WHY NOT BY GOOGLE TALK? I PREFER PIDGIN, which supports aim, google talk, and many more...

"It's good for chat but not for talk"
Pros: Needless to say Google Talk is a clean chat messenger.
Cons: Without webcam function, when talking is lagging :(
