Version: Google Talk beta 1.0.0.64
Pros: I like it because I use Gmail. You can talk via microphone or type text like with other popular apps out there.
Cons: There are some major problems I've run into with this program. For one, it gives me authentication errors all the time. I type my password in correctly yes, and the username too. What I try is I turn off ZA and no ZA isn't blocking it at all, I'm well aware on ZA, adn I turn off the XP firewall with SP2. To get around the problem I enter another email address through Gmail and that works, then enter my main one after that and it seems to work. Lately however, all tabs in ZA settings were set as green check mark to allow, I deleted that entry in ZA program settings and let the prompts come up to allow it, hit save settings, seems to work so far.

Version: Google Talk beta 1.0.0.64
Pros: I like the different approach this program takes, the fact it is simple and has no anoying flash adverts that flicker at you all day long. Also, the voice side of it is excelent, and I think the quality even out-does Skype.
Cons: One thing is the lack of features, though this is also a plus because it means it is not overcrouded, depends what your prefer. The major flaw however is that it will only work with GMail accounts, and as good as they are most my friends don't use them (especially the non-tech ones), and so unfortuantly I will not be using this program yet.

"Right recipe for a simple dish!"
Pros: I for long wanted to have im-client which did simple things without a fuss.I dont really need extra features given by yahoo,msn,icq..
I am a simple chatter who needs basic features, which i found in this hassle-free im-client.Small,fast and reliable!
Cons: May not have some advanced facilities which make msn, yahoo, aim market leaders!

"Very Clean Interface, Tons of Potential"
Pros: Being a Google product, this IM / Voice communication system is going to continue to improve vastly over the the next several months. Already I have replaced my AIM with it (and my friends are switching as well).
The voice chat is very, very clear... better than a telephone by far and practically lag free.
I love the interface: it's simple, easy to use and very clean. The program loads insanely quick and takes up very few resources.
For being only a Beta product (still in testing), it's won my heart. I can't wait to see how it looks (and how the features are integrated into other Google offerings) in the near future.
Cons: Being Beta, Google Talk is far from completed. It functions (and functions very well), but more features will be added as Google gets more feedback.
