Cons
1. Need Gmail, or an invite
2. No emoticons
3. No webcam
4. No buzz feature
5. No IM environments/themes
6. No music player built in
7. Lacks message archiving
I do hope this will be better. I was hoping for something great from Google. and PLEASE, get rid of the stupid invite system!! Everyone can get one, so now it's just plan annoying!

"Sweet!"
Version: Google Talk beta 1.0.0.64
Pros
Google's decided to finally cut the krap and give us what we need! Nice clean interface with whatever you need to chat.
Just 900k. Doesn't come packed with junk like other clients such as MSN.
Remember, it is in beta, so there would be new additions soon!
Cons
No frills - but that's not really a con.

THe second point is very impressive
Cons
1> UI is not good
