Pros
While simpler web-based map sites are still easier to use for figuring out how to get from point A to point B, Google Earth is a facinating piece of software that allows one to view and interact with our planet in ways that are fun, informative, and innovative. For example, zoom in or out on satalite photos of virtually anywhere in the world, in startling detail for well-populated and modernized cities -- I could see the blue color of the back deck of my mom's house in Southern California! You can also overlay locations of businesses, restaurants, universites, rivers, or virtually anything that can be pinpointed to an exact geographical coordinate and indexed on the Web. And while I still find it to be mostly a fun application for those facinated with maps and cartography (like me), I think the program speaks to the future (or a future) of how we as a society index and access information about the world we live in. Pretty cool!
Cons
Apart from some major global cities, the application is lacking in detail on most of the the non-U.S. world. Right now the application would be more aptly called Google Earth (U.S. version).

I have used KEYHOLE-NV for the 14 days free . I loved it. It was the best programme I have ever used. Now I want to see Google Earth ... see why below!

I've tryed to download the programme twice. In Mozilla it could not tell how big it is. Firstly arrived 3,9 MB and it said "download completed". I tryed to install it and the installer did not do a thing. Then I downloaded once more and arrived 5,39 MB... (download completed...). Then I used Internet Explorer and I was informed that the server could not resume, in case of failler. Now I can see in Download.com that the programme has a bit more than 10 MB. I will try to download again through "Download.com" and keep fingers cross!!!

some locations have better resolution than others -- ankara was somewhat fuzzy, but nyc was incredibly clear to within a few feet
