    "Awesome browser!"

    May 17, 2014  |   By srb_alex96

    Version: Google Chrome 34.0.1847.137

    Pros

    Many useful features
    Great HTML5 support
    Very nice add-ons
    Never crashed on my PC
    Speed
And most important: Sync with Android version works perfectly. :)

    Cons

I switched from IE and there are some things which I dont like. For example, donwload manager has bad UI and option to click "run" instead of save is missing. And bookmarks and tabs are much better organised on IE...

    Summary

Fast browser with many useful features, but UI needs improvement. I think it's the best alternative browser, because it's faster than Firefox (and less crashes), has much more features that new Opera and it has more add-ons than IE.

"Chrome.....a good backup to Firefox, nothing more"

    April 26, 2014  |   By wyzwyk

    Version: Google Chrome 34.0.1847.131

    Pros

    1) The browser opens quickly and renders web pages fast ....no, very fast!

    Cons

    1) I can't customize this browser to anywhere near the extent I can Firefox. While Chrome has several really nice extensions their selection pales in comparison to the Mozilla browser.

    2) Ad Sense is yet another invasive Google practice. In my opinion if they don't refine it some it's going to chase many thousands of users to other browsers.

    Summary

While I have Chrome on my computer it remains there only as a backup should anything happen to Firefox. I have never been a fan of Chrome's minimalist UI. There simply isn't enough room on the single toolbar for all my extension launch icons; I hate tucking them away several clicks inside a menu. This to me IS NOT user friendly. I don't like the tabs on top either, nor do I like the fact that Chrome doesn't have an equivalent to the Tab Mix Plus extension one can use in Firefox. This is a BIG negative for me. Chrome is just way too restrictive with their UI. Simply put, I can customize Firefox far easier and to a much greater extent than the Google browser. It's not even close.

    "Ad Sense is unmanageable."

    April 21, 2014  |   By A3k8I00

    Version: Google Chrome 34.0.1847.116

    Pros

None that are worth the aggravation.

    Cons

Supposedly ads based on your interests. I kept getting vulgar ads that had absolutely nothing to do with any interests and they were absolutely impossible to stop. I found a round about way to block 90% of all Ad Sense ads. This will be Google and Facebook demise if they don't find a way to better manage unwanted ads. I going to completely abandon Chrome and continue to block Google Ad Sense.

    Summary

Chrome and Ad Sense work hand in hand. There is no getting around being tracked and having information directed towards you based on surfing and interests, but when items come through that are truly offending, they need to provide an EASY means of customizing. Use another browser.

    "Chrome is good but..."

    April 8, 2014  |   By chassiam

    Version: Google Chrome 33.0.1750.154

    Pros

Fast and easy to use, works well with all sites I visit.

    Cons

Tracks everything you do, "Do Not Track" they provide is only for use when visiting on other sites (even if that actually is true).

    Summary

For most, this is a great browser to use, but personally, I feel that security and privacy is important and I do not get that with chrome.

"A case could be made for best browser."

    March 21, 2014  |   By sammojr

    Version: Google Chrome 33.0.1750.154

    Pros

Reliably fast. Benchmark testing reveals that Google Chrome is either competitively fast, or either surpasses the competition.

Here are the results for Google Chrome 33.0.1750.154
    Octane 2.0 Score: 25935, Futuremark Peacekeeper Score: 4955, Kraken Javascript Benchmark: 1208.1ms +/- 0.9%, SunSpider 1.0.2: 143.2ms +/- 1.5%

    Mozilla Firefox 27.0.1 results
Octane 2.0 Score: 21662, Futuremark Peacekeeper Score: 2892,
Kraken Javascript Benchmark: 1199.0ms +/- 3.8%, SunSpider 1.0.2: 144.3ms +/- 3.4% (Microsoft's Lite Brite benchmark did not work on Firefox 27 as flexbox was not supported. Though Firefox 28 does support it, and scorches Google Chrome on the respective benchmark.)

Uncluttered interface which makes it simple to use. Increasingly more support for extensions. Leading edge of web standard compliance of W3C.

    Cons

No major cons associated with the performance of the browser. Other possible cons is that it's google. They track you, but most of this privacy concerns can be switched off minimizing the tracking.

    Summary

It could be argued that Google Chrome is the best browser. The only other browser that can all around compete with it is Mozilla's Firefox.

    "Supports the most HTML5."

    March 16, 2014  |   By alexmonte

    Version: Google Chrome 33.0.1750.149

    Pros

It's the best browser I can find. It supports more HTML5 and JavaScript than any other popular browser (including but not limited to IE, FireFox, Opera, and Safari). Of all the major browsers this one follows the guidelines set by the w3c the closest. Though it's not perfect (as other reviews have stated) I would argue that it's better than the rest. Take it from someone who has to deal with browser compatibility when designing websites. Despite what others have claimed, I have all of the above browsers installed on my computer (in order to test the websites I have created) and not one of them is as fast or as reliable as Chrome.

    Cons

-Takes more resources than most browsers (and opens multiple tasks for one window)
-Constantly harrasses you to sign in (but I've never had trouble using it without signing in)
    -Is known for monitoring history

    Summary

Even though a better browser could be made, Google Chrome is the best one right now. It is the best browser for HTML5 or any previous version of HTML or XML and works far faster than any other browser I have installed. Though it has some obvious flaws the only other browser that even competes with Chrome is FireFox. If for some reason Chrome doesn't work for you, I recommend FireFox.

    "ok .... ish"

    March 10, 2014  |   By ChoiceVoice

    Version: Google Chrome 33.0.1750.146

    Pros

-chrome store, games games games games - this is a gaming platform
-google office works best with this. it is a productivity platform.
-fast on internet, excellent rendering, good antiphishing
    -built in sandbox
-makes browsing more relevant (though, this is a privacy concern to some, and to others an advantage. it will bring up relevant content for your area and advisements that you would be interested in).
-has a process monitor - so you can tell how much resources an extension is using.

    Cons

-opens multiple processes that don't always close when you close chrome. and makes it hard to gage system impact to compare with other browsers.
-runs at startup (hidden) to trick you into thinking it loads faster when you engage it. this slows down my startup and i hate this. updater also loads at startup. if you remove this from startup, then you can't update it. pain in the butt cuz you have to manually update then, and chrome has millions of constant tiny updates.
    -monitors your browsing.
    -can't use multiple profiles.
-some extensions/apps have seen malicious content (has snuck through googles scrutiny). this can compromise your system.

    Summary

adding startup entries that slow my computer, and having processes running even when i'm not using chrome (again slowing my computer) is a deal breaker for me.

"What the hell is going on??"

    March 5, 2014  |   By bigskymontana

    Version: Google Chrome 33.0.1750.146

    Pros

NONE THAT I CAN THINK OF.

    Cons

EVERYTHING IS WRONG, PAGES TAKE FOREVER TO LOAD AND I'M ON A T-4 LINE. DON'T KNOW WHAT CHROME IS UP TO THESE DAYS BUT THEIR ONCE FAST BROWSER IS SLOWER THAN I.E.
