"Google's web browser with a unified address and search bar" bleh
It's quite fast and does get better with every release. The reason I don't use it as my main browser?
I really don't like not having a dedicated search box. I usually know what I want to do, so if I input something in the address bar, I want my browser to try to access what I type, verbatim, instead of throwing up all sorts of nonsense. (For example, if one types "apple" in the address bar, pressing return should direct you to www.apple.com. Instead, Chrome intercepts the input and spits out about everything except where I want to go. Press return, you end up googling for apple. A dedicated search bar + separate address field to produce the desired result much faster, and even more importantly, much more reliably. I don't need Google or anyone interpreting my input, just do what I ask already ;)
Google Chrome is pretty good, but I sure hope this unified search/address stuff doesn't catch on.
Back to Camino for me. -

What the hell is with the green colored text in the address bar!? Google is hands down the ultimate aesthetically challenged turd. And integrated Flash? Seriously!? Are you kidding me!? -
"Great evolution almost"
Version: Google Chrome beta 5.0.375.29
Pros
Fast. Intuitive.
Cons
Auto-fill isn't the best
Summary
I have one question. What are they trying to do with the upper right "Other Bookmarks"? This continues to be a mystery to me.

Fast, Reliable, and the One Box Feature. It just works.

"stopped using Chrome... Major bug involving fonts"
Version: Google Chrome beta 5.0.342.9
Pros
Speed and clean interface are the chief attractions. Looks like this would be a great browser if they would only address some basic Mac-version faults involving fonts.
Cons
Real stinker of a bad bug related to font conflicts on Macintosh, producing a screen full of unreadable icons... No doubt Google aware of this...plenty of online complaints. They're also obviously doing nothing about it.
Removed it from all Macs.Summary
Preliminary tests show very high speed populating pages and quick connections to links on a third-party site. The interface has some interesting promising innovations. However, there is a basic major fault, a bug, but maybe a giant bug, like a horror movie sized bug... It involves font management. They made a major blunder with an interim version released about three months ago, and every release afterwards becomes unusable (after an elaborate "cleaning" of caches using OnyX) after two or three boots of Chrome once it's been cleaned up. This is unacceptable. And Google's ignoring this now old problem is unconscionable.

"Not the Best. Can't match its Windows brethren."
Version: Google Chrome beta 5.0.342.7
Pros
Well, the search bar is as good as ever... and in terms of user interface it's similar to the windows version which I always use.
Cons
Unfortunately, it doesn't boast the key feature that makes Google Chrome... Google Chrome. It takes longer than Safari to load on mac, and opening new tabs or webpages isn't exactly fast either. It exhibits an average speed, nothing special.
Summary
Overall, Google Chrome for Mac is a decent browser, but Safari is still the winner over Google Chrome. Chrome for Mac doesn't exhibit the primary attribute that makes it's Windows brother a winder... Speed. Chrome for Mac is slower than Safari, and nothing much else is unique about it, and therefore doesn't deserve five stars.

"Rarely if ever crashes."
Version: Google Chrome beta 5.0.342.7
Pros
Seems not to crash. Never annoys me.
Cons
Mebbe that certain developer tools are not available (yet).
Summary
Try it if Firefox seems clogged and crashy to. I am a Mac user and love Chrome.

"suddenly many websites unreadable"
Version: Google Chrome beta 5.0.307.9
Pros
speed seems to set a standard
Cons
suddenly (starting with v.5.0.307.7) many alphanumeric characters appears as the character "A" with a box around it, not on all websites, but most... Have never seen this before. Not even sure how to describe it to research it
Summary
I can't like an application I can't use because it renders content unusable...
