easy to install and to use (do the backup)
Restore refuses to work, tried for hours to restore after a reinstall of the o/s, comes up with messages that Chrome is not installed, there is a new version available... (bit of a contradiction...)
Worst thing is that it does not say why it can't restore the backup file
Maybe it will work for someone else but make sure you copy your Local settings/... Which sort of defeats the purpose...
Thought I had all mine, didn't so now the chrome profile info is gone :(
-Doesn't complete destroy your data
-Makes you think it's completely destroyed your data
IN CASE YOU FELL FOR IT LIKE ME, do not worry! This program saves the .gcb file in a format that winrar knows how to open! I don't know what format that is, but I know 7-zip was not able to open it. If you open the generated .gcb file in WinRar, you will be able to extract your original appdata/local/google/chrome/user data folder, and indeed have a working backup.
"But wait, if it's just an archive of your AppData folder, which should i use GCB at all!?"
Glad you asked! You shouldn't! Just back up your user data folder! This review is here solely to inform you that if the .gcb is all that's left of your chrome user data, you can still get it back. However, I have to say, with this knowledge DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM. Just back up AppData/Local/Google/Chrome/User Data using an archive utility and restore it once you've done whatever needs doing.
It wasn't that hard to download or install, and backing up was pretty easy.
After reinstalling Windows 7 and downloading the program again, it is buggy; like some other users I'm getting "Google Chrome is not installed" error messages at startup. More seriously, I've tried several times to restore from the .gcb file and it keeps failing, without giving any reason. I backed up my AppData folders too, in case this didn't work, and I'll have to use them.
I can't recommend this program - I haven't been able to successfully restore, and I can't find good support for the tool.

EASY TO USE
interface nice and clean
Minor objection: Need winzip /winrar to decompress App and install.
Awesome slick backup App, though it could with some updates to support the latest release of Google Chrome.
Looking at the App developers official web site / URL below I did not find any mention of new version?:
Simple to use.
Nothing, it just exists for destroy your computer.
Removes random files when choicing a profile, I've lost like 6GB of my important data, due to this BAD program.
Do not download this if you don't want to suddenly some important files and stuff.

I forgot to write at the end "lose".
None... doesn't work for me..
Doesn't work for me!
* Freezes when restoring a profile
* Destroys data
Destroyed a bunch of COMPLETELY UNRELATED files when I deleted a profile.
I put the stored profile in c drive because i thought this might make it work better - without freezing.
When I then deleted that profile, it destroyed all files in root C drive that weren't in folders!
It also appears to have destroyed other data in the c drive - because one of my other programs lost it's toolbars and the icons in the data. Who knows what else this piece of junk program has done.
With old Chrome, it was great. Backed up extensions, profile, cookies.
With the more recent versions of Chrome in windows XP, it will SAY it backs up your profile, but when it comes time to restore it . . . forget it. You lose everything.
It was great once upon a time when they had it working with Chrome, but apparently Chrome gets updated far, far more often than Parehelia can keep up with. Now it just plain doesn't work. If you download this, you may want to do a sandboxie install of Chrome so you can see that it won't restore your profile, but it locks up nicely.
It did a good job of restoring everything in the profile. My open tabs re-opened, all my settings were the same.
The problem is, I've been getting a profile-error, and thought, I could save my settings with this application, but uninstall and re-install Chrome, and then it would be fixed. But unfortunately, this imported the error again.
Good tool, just not the one I needed for my problem.
