"Horrible tech support, shady company"
Version: GoodSync2Go 8.1.9.0
Pros
Scheduled tasks work 90% of the time.
Cons
When upgrading my copy of GoodSync as suggested in an alert, the software stopped working because in the newest version they force Pro users to buy a Server license. Worked for 3 years then didn't on my Windows Server.
Summary
I was mostly happy with the product until this. It has a few flaws in it's scheduler and doesn't set itself up right as a service. But after a day of talking with tech support the only thing they could offer me to get my $29.99 software back up and running was a 60% discount on a server license. That would come out to over $400 + $140 a year in service and support. All to keep 2 image folders synced up?!
Support was unable or would not escalate my call to a higher level tier no matter what and I was offered 3 different solutions, 1 of which was incorrect and 2 of which would cost me hundreds more to keep things running.
The software might not be terrible, but the company is about as shady as they get without actually installing viruses along with their product. Bait and switch at it's worst.
