"is fast, but annoying upgrade policies"

    April 2, 2012  |   By cgfry2000

    Pros

It's really fast, is easy to use, and works well.

    Cons

Gets you to upgrade, and then won't work without a new license. Should warn about this prior to (constantly) suggesting the upgrade.

    Summary

Sticking with Goodsync because of its speed and ease of use. Have tried a few other similar products, and this was by far the best.

I like the fact that they upgrade a lot. Makes me feel like they are paying attention to the product. I wish it were automatic updates.

Definitely understand where you are coming from about the annoying upgrade policy, but that is just how software licensing work. GoodSync 9 is a great product with great newly added features like GoodSync Connect. New versions always mean new licensing. Nobody got Windows 7 for free because they bought Windows Vista (as nice as that would have been).

I updated GoodSync and it did warn me about the upgrade pricing. I remember a page that explained that I could stick with GoodSync 8 or pay for the upgrade. I can't find the page again, but I know it was there. Use GoodSync 8 if you don't want to pay for 9.
