"Syncs my phone! Yay!"
Version: GoodSync 8.4
Pros
I can now sync what I want with my Windows based phone (HTC S620), and easily too.
Cons
Still need ActiveSync to 'get into' phone, probably more Windows problem than GoodSyncs
Summary
I LOATHE Windows ActiveSync, there seems to be no way of managing what you want to download, and there is no other choice... until now... By removing ActiveSync, then reinstalling, and ensuring NO boxes were ticked, it now merely allows access to the phone, so I then use GoodSync to Sync only the things I want to.
Great Product, Thanks. -

"Great backup or sync program"
Version: GoodSync 8.4
Pros
Once the program is set up it requires two buttons to backup. One to check current files and the second to synchronize.
Cons
You need to decide if you want to synchronize or backup between two backup devices.
Summary
I use it vevry day to backup to a usb hard drive.
-
"Easy to use and very efficient"
Version: GoodSync 8.4
Pros
Clear Windows Explorer style interface allowing you to see what is selected and what is being backed up and where
Cons
Unable to select files by wildcard. This affect accounting programs which, by default, store data files in the same directory as the program. I got round this by putting the datafiles in their own folder.
Summary
All in all a very useful piece of software providing security of data. As its free for the small user, and can back up via FTP to any webstore, as well as CD, USB and external HD there is no reason why anyone need lose valuable info. You can even back up email current and archived IF you know where to find the directories in Windows.

"Exctly meets my needs--and QUICKLY!"
Version: GoodSync 8.4
Pros
Super fast, verbose in a good way, highly flexible
Cons
Interface screen would be daunting for tech-averse users.
Summary
Far far better than Second Copy, which I relied on for YEARS. Wish I had found Good Synch sooner. Thrilled that it's now also available for the Mac.

"Great concept but seriously techie product"
Version: GoodSync 8.4
Pros
Idea is great and I wanted to keep my net book (used infrequently) in sync with my desktop. (email archive, Roboform data, essential papers and a couple of other items). Also back up (only) my "alldata" files to prtable HDD.
Cons
Did it work? Well back up is fine, but syncing is a nightmare! Not helped by inadequate documentation! Problem is even a product like Roboform may not use same structure on 2 different machines! So, Sync does not work!
Summary
This is a seriously complex product, which is by no means automatic or intuitive. I know sychronisation is complex, but does it have to be this complex. Could I not - please - have a "granny" button for when I completely ***** it up? Documentation/help is agricultural, with references to left anf right files - for example (who thought that one up??). Written by a techie, who did not then have to use the manual is my suspicion. I'm sure it is a great product underneath, but unless you are willing to invest a lot of time and effort, and are tech savvy, forget it!
