    "Excellent!"

    May 21, 2012  |   By cyberclark

    Version: GoodSync 9

    Pros

It is the answer to all of my problems regarding sign in from other computers. I wished I had it years ago!

    Cons

having a bit of a problem sorting the right and left thing out I'm thinking flash drive and computer. Probably my fault but an aggravation never the less.

    Summary

Program delivers everything it says and a lot more in the realm of peace of mind and convenience.

"Outstanding product with many useful features"

    May 18, 2012  |   By lrushforth

    Version: GoodSync 9

    Pros

You can use GoodSync to synchronize folders and different devices, backup files (including FTP transfers and cloud operations such as Google Drive, Microsoft Skydrive, and Amazon Cloud Drive), and maintain file modification histories. It supports command-line usage and scheduled operations. It can recognize removable drives by name even when the drive-letter changes. I'm sure I have not found all of its capabilities yet. It works well with RoboForm Anywhere to make sure your logins and passwords are synchronized on all devices.

    Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve to get things started.

    Summary

I recommend this program to anyone who wants to synchronize files or make backups.

"Great for synchronization and remote access"

    April 17, 2012  |   By edub0180

    Version: GoodSync 9

    Pros

    - Networking between Macs and Windows can be a challenge, but GoodSync Connect makes it super easy.
    - Syncing is a LOT faster than with anything else I've tried.
    - Access all your files on a remote computer, no need to plan ahead and put files in a specific shared folder.
    - Saves you a lot of time and bandwidth compared with cloud services.

    Cons

It can be tricky to find the right folder (like your desktop) on a remote computer, as it doesn't look exactly like the Windows Explorer (you have to go to your c: drive to find your user folder on a typical Windows machine).

    Summary

I use it to synchronize the music libraries on my various computers. It's super fast; when I change the metadata of an MP3 on one computer, it doesn't copy the whole file to the other machines, but only the data that has changed. When I add music on my (Mac) laptop, it automatically gets synced with my (Windows) desktop and vice versa. This has saved me an incredible amount of time that I used to spend copying files.
The GoodSync Explorer is extremely useful when working from home. I don't have to put files in a specific folder on my work computer beforehand, like with Dropbox. I can just access all the files on my work computer from home, no matter where I saved them.
It backs up my files to an external hard-drive, too.

"GoodSync Makes Me Feel Safe and Secure"

    April 16, 2012  |   By ML196006

    Version: GoodSync 9

    Pros

I was using a cloud based service to back up my files and then sync them to my computer at home to my computer at work. One of my friends recommended GoodSync to me, so I decided to try the new version that was just released (version 9). The download and upload speeds are incredibly fast and I feel more secure because I don't have to store any of my data in the cloud. GoodSync connects my work and home computer directly- completely skipping over the cloud storage aspect, I have no idea how they do it, but it's awesome. Now I never have to worry about cloud storage security or paying for online storage. I love GoodSync and I recommend it to all my friends now.

    Cons

They are working on apps for smartphones, but since they don't have them now that is my only complaint.

    Summary

I'd recommend this to anyone! Save money and time and feel secure.

    "Great product - Terrible company"

    April 15, 2012  |   By jsibelius

    Version: GoodSync 9

    Pros

GoodSync does exactly what I need it to do - it syncs my files. Helps with backup, or transferring files back and forth from home to USB and home again. The icons make it easy to spot differences and make sure everything is syncing as it should. I've been using it for a year and it's never had a problem.

    Cons

This company, SiberSystems, has a major problem with ethics, though. They have no problem rolling out a major upgrade that looks just like one of the regular updates that arrive like clockwork every 2-3 weeks. Then, after you've been using it for a month, you discover you only had a trial version and now you have to pay up again to keep using it. This wouldn't be a problem if they would simply be up front about it - let you know when you install it that it's a major upgrade that comes with an upgrade fee. They've done this with GoodSync and with RoboForm, a password manager they also created.

    Summary

My recommendation is that if you've never used file sync software, keep looking. Find one that doesn't yank the rug out from under you later.

If you've already been sucked in, just be prepared to pull out your wallet when you least expect it. Because sadly, I don't think there's a better product out there. I'm stuck because the features have me spoiled.

    "Great software, very user friendly"

    April 11, 2012  |   By CompuPhillip

    Version: GoodSync 9

    Pros

Very easy to use and understand with all the capabilities of a much more complicated program. I have been using GoodSync for years and it has improved with each new version. I am a self proclaimed "power-user" and with the addition of GoodSync Cnnect, I now sync my 3 Windows machines, 2 Mac computers, networked external drives, and Amazon S3 cloud service all using GoodSync. I have never experienced an issue with security, data corruption or duplicated files in years of use. I highly recommend this software to anyone looking for a user friendly backup and synchronization tool. Do not be intimidated by the immense features, they offer live phone support based here in the U.S. 12 hours a day and have online support available 24/7 for their customers.

    Cons

Have yet to find any, I have always had any issue I've run into resolved immediately by tech support.

    Summary

Overall great product, capable of doing everything you ask it to and more. Well supported, easy to setup and use, highly recommended.

"Syncing files, easier than dragging and dropping"

    April 10, 2012  |   By Original_Mystic

    Version: GoodSync 9

    Pros

Simple interface with L-R R-L block level syncing. Works exactly as described.

    Cons

No real gripes, it works. Enough said.

    Summary

I noticed a lot of people on here are really just giving GoodSync a bad rap. The product works, the support when I called in was better than many other products, I actually talked with an American supporter who knew what he was talking about. Keep it up!!
