"Wants your credit card information right up front."

    January 10, 2012  |   By summerstormpictures

None. Try OpenDNS's FREE utility DNSCrypt first.

The application transfers you right to their web page and bashes you with wanting your credit card information from the get-go, which is not only rude but the path toward automatically charging you after your 7-day trial period when you forget to cancel. Then you'll have to deal with trying to get a refund from a no-name company. Since when have they earned my trust? How does this jive with a so called 7-day trial period?

Try the FREE utility offered from OpenDNS first. It's called DNSCrypt, and while it's in the final stages of beta, it just works, it's free and it's from a reputable well known organization praised around the world.

DNSCrypt sounds like a good technology, but it isn't a VPN like GoTrusted, which encrypts all your data. BTW, GoTrusted isn't "no-name"... they've been around forever.
