"Wants your credit card information right up front."
Version: GoTrusted Secure Tunnel 2.2.2.4
Pros
None. Try OpenDNS's FREE utility DNSCrypt first.
Cons
The application transfers you right to their web page and bashes you with wanting your credit card information from the get-go, which is not only rude but the path toward automatically charging you after your 7-day trial period when you forget to cancel. Then you'll have to deal with trying to get a refund from a no-name company. Since when have they earned my trust? How does this jive with a so called 7-day trial period?
Summary
Try the FREE utility offered from OpenDNS first. It's called DNSCrypt, and while it's in the final stages of beta, it just works, it's free and it's from a reputable well known organization praised around the world.

"Latest version works well with 10.7.2"
Version: GoTrusted Secure Tunnel 2.2.2.4
Pros
I've had Go Trusted for some time now and found it is of great assistance, especially when I travel. When I upgraded to Lion's 10.7.2, the tunnel did not work well consistently. I contacted Customer Service, received a quick reply and was soon up and running via their suggestions. This new version contains those suggestions so I think they have done a very good job. Works well for me, well worth the monthly fee, and I feel much safer/secure.
Cons
It is a monthly/on-going expense, but there are on-going bad guys out there.
Summary
Go Trusted is part of my efforts to securely use the internet. It does what it does, and does it well. Customer service, is first rate. Highly recommend.

"I like it, keeps me safe. Cheap and fast."
Version: GoTrusted Secure Tunnel 2.2.1.2
Pros
Fastest VPN I've tried.
Cons
It isn't free, but I don't trust free security proxies anyways.
Summary
Helped me where fun sites were blocked.. When I unchecked Compatibility mode, the download speeds jumped to almost full speed through my 25Mb/s line. I'm pretty happy with it for $6 a month. Also worked for me at the usual Starbucks and Wifi shops. I had to enter a CC # for the free trial but ended up signing up anyways. The online whatismyip check never shows the same IP when connected so I was impressed. The color icon status on the menubar looks cool too.

"Works like a charm on my new Macbook"
Version: GoTrusted Secure Tunnel 2.2.1.2
Pros
Fast, connects quickly. Does what is says.
Cons
Nothing of note.
Summary
I used this on my PC laptop for a while, but just converted to Mac. The Mac version actually seems to connect faster... certainly installs faster (guess this is more of an OSX thing than the software). This is the most reliable VPN service I've used.

"It's a lie"
Version: GoTrusted Secure Tunnel 2.2.1.0
Pros
I found none
Cons
It's terrible. When I wanted to register, they charge you monthly U$5.99 instead of just one time, as it says in download.com Those practices should be forbidden.
