    "Issues Establishing a Connecton"

    Pros

    Robust features and 8 concurrent connections.

    Cons

    I have issues connecting with about 50% of my clients.

    Summary

    I am not going to repeat any of the great features mentioned in other reviews.
    My issue is that I cannot connect to many of my clients who are using the virus scan and/or firewall from one particular company.
    I have read numerous tweaks for this problem such as disabling the firewall and virus scan, modifying white/black lists, etc.
    However, neither my clients or myself have the time or desire to try one tweak after another in order to connect.
    If you are looking for a robust feature set - this program definitely has them.
    If you are concerned about ease of establishing a connection - you should short list this product and continue researching your alternatives.

    "Fast, surefire way to assist customers"

    Pros

    Less expensive than other services.
    No software on far computer.
    Fast connection to far computer.
    No problems with firewalls.
    Clipboard, hotkeys, and file transfer between computers.
    On-screen annotation tools.
    Handles multiple monitors well.

    Cons

    Not free.
    Not ideal for connecting to unattended computers. GoToMyPC is better.

    Summary

    This remote support service, which earned PC Magazine's Editors' Choice, works smoothly for consultants and companies that want to provide support to customers and employees. Set up on your end is fast and simple. The person you are supporting - the customer - does not have to install anything, just go to your website, click a link, and click some confirmation buttons.

    There are competing services that perform similar functions, but they cost significantly more per month than GoToAssist. You can connect with any number of other computers, up to eight at a time, for an unlimited number of sessions for a flat monthly or annual price. There is a free trial and a 9.95 per day option as well.

    GoToAssist's biggest strength is its ability to connect to anyone without configuration, setup, or hassle on their end. Because they initiate the connection from your website, issues with their firewall are eliminated. GoToAssist leaves nothing on their computer and has industrial-strength security and encryption, so you don't need to worry about putting your customer at risk.

    Windows 7 security, with User Access Control, can present problems for other similar remote support services, but GoToAssist has a Run as Service option. If you need to switch to this option during a session, your customer just clicks to approve the switch. Then you have full control of their computer, including the ability to confirm User Access Control prompts.

    GoToAssist can send and receive files between your computer and the customer's computer, helpful if they need an update or if you need to examine files or data you collect. It also can collects general software and hardware information from the remote computer, listing the programs, devices and services.

    Connecting to an unattended computer requires that the customer give you permission ahead of time and enter their login password. You never see the password, but have the ability to reboot the computer and reconnect without the customer's assistance.

    GoToAssist works smoothly with multiple monitors, allowing you to switch smoothly from viewing one monitor to another on the customer's computer or view all at once, scaling them to fit your screen or scrolling left and right. You can copy from the customer's screen using Ctrl-C or Copy icons and can Paste to the far computer using a menu option.

    By default, you start out viewing other person's computer, but you can switch the view to show your screen. This feature expands the usefulness of GoToAssist beyond a tool for technical support. You can work one-to-one with employees, colleagues and clients, collaborating on writing and planning projects, browsing the Web together, and performing any number of cooperative tasks.

    Setting up a session is very fast and requires little effort on the part of your associate. Screen annotations tools expand the usefulness for GoToAssist for working together. They a great for one-to-one training as wells as collaboration and support.

    "Great software"

    Nothing could be simpler to use
    Works exactly as described
    Can control the client PC, transfer files and chat
    Can have multiple sessions open at the same time

    Cons

    None, other than the $69/month fee after the trial period.

    Summary

    Excellent software.
    Wish they had a limited use plan for less money. Well they do have a full-use plan for $9.95/day, but then you have to go through the payment process each time you use it.

    "Great Product glad I worked on the Beta Program"

    There is noting you really can't do to custom or a friends computer with this great software from GoToAssis Expresst.. Well one thing You can't place a CD in to the drive if no one is home

    Yearly plan a bit to costly for my wallet even with a discount

    Would I use this great software again YES! Would I tell a friend YES! Would I like a lower yearly price YES!
