Version: GoBeProductive 3.0.4
"Abandonware?"
Pros: On its own merits, discounting compatibility with MS Office, Gobe Productive for Windows is a good program, both fast and tightly integrated. It's generous licensing scheme (install on all of your personal computers and one copy on your work computer) is fabulous.
Cons: This is a product that is more competitive with MS Works or AppleWorks than MS Office. That is not bad in and of itself; in that category it does quite well as far as features, integration, and reliability. The asking price of $49.95 is very steep for a product of that calibur however. Productive's biggest problem is that it suffers from neglect. It was last updated in 2003 and I am tempted to think that it is or soon will be abandonware. Unless Gobe either dramatically lowers the price to around the $20 range or they update the product I would suggest you save up a little more and purchase StarOffice 8 instead. The only circumstance where I would recommend Gobe Productive for Windows today is if you have a major investment in BeOS/Gobe Productive for BeOS and have not been able to migrate to another platform yet.
