Version: GnuCash 2.2.6
"Better book keeping for free"
Pros: Free - Not forced to pay for upgrades every X years
Safer- Not connecting to a third party when importing transactions
Can import transactions from institutions that don't pay Quicken tax.
Many choices for how you want to view your transactions.Cons: Not as pretty looking
Summary: I was pleasantly surprised when I migrated from Quicken 2006 to GNUCash. Import was easy. Told quicken to export all in QIF format. Told GNUCash to import all from export QIF.
Unfortunately, no program can have what your prior program has "learned". i.e. What account in your OFX/QFX file from an "Institution" is associated with. Or what to "auto enter"
