Version: Glary Registry Repair 2.7
"Good free registry cleaner but aggressive."
Pros: This registry cleaner scans in several sections of the windows registry, finds a lot of registry problems. Then a small popup window appears, and you can click repair to repair all registry problems. But I prefer to close the popup window, so I can view details about the registry problems.
Then I select a section click on the registry key and click open in regedit, to see if there is any data about the registry key before making any repairs to the registry. If there is no data shown about the registry problems, I select the registry problems and click repair. You can also customize the registry sections you want to scan for registry problems, like start menu, obsolete software, add/remove programs, or what ever you want.
Cons: This registry cleaner is aggressive, so after you repair your registry if you have any problems with your computer. Click restore previous repairs, because this registry cleaner creates backups of all registry repairs.

Version: Glary Registry Repair 2.6
"Great registry repair and still free."
Pros: This new version seems to scan faster than the older version did. I let it do a full scan of my registry, it found 513 registry problems in one minute. Now a popup window comes on with two choices repair or close. I chose to close the popup window, so I can view details about the 513 registry problems.
After I viewed the details of the 513 registry problems, I selected 256 registry problems and clicked repair your registry. After it repairs the registry it creates a backup in restore previous repairs. From restore previous repairs I can restore or delete, repairs that were made to my registry. But I knew the 256 registry problems were invalid so I deleted them. And my computer is operating faster and smoother.
Cons: This registry cleaner is aggressive so use it with caution. Because the registry is the heart and soul of your computer.

Version: Glary Registry Repair 2.4
"Not the fastest...but hey, it gets it done and does it well"
Pros: Glarysoft Registry Repair is free and cleans and repairs your registry in 15 different catagories. Safely removes your junk and fixes the errors. Works with ALL versions of Windows including Vista!
Cons: No other features in this free version. No startup manager, hive compactor, program uninstaller, process killer, optimizer,etc.

"Nice registry cleaner and it's free."
Pros: When the scan is finished, a small window pops up on the interface. And you have a choice to click repair to solve problems automatically, or click close to view details. Personally I think it's best to close the small window, and view details about the problems that it finds. This way I can read all of the registry keys, and find out if I need any of them.
On my computer it found 328 registry problems, after I took the time to read all of the registry keys. I repaired 156 registry problems, and it did increase the speed of my computer. Also the scan time was not bad at all, because it scanned my computer in about one minute.
Cons: This registry cleaner is a bit aggressive when it scans the registry, but it has a restore previous repairs. So if you have any problems, you can undo the repairs that were made to the registry.

Version: Glary Registry Repair 3
"Good but new version is aggressive."
Pros: This program scans in 13 sections of the windows registry. On my computer it found 382 problems but I only repaired 25 true invalid registry problems.
It's safer to scan only 4 sections obsolete software, start menu, add/remove programs, and mru and history lists.
Cons: The other 9 sections will produce legitimate registry keys as being invalid registry problems. And when downloading they want to install the ask toolbar so that has to be unchecked when downloading.
