"Company direction is pathetic - "stay away!!""
Pros
Consolidate all your cloud into one drive (with sub-folders)
Easy to provide file encryption and file compression
Works with windows 7 and XP
Good response to support callsCons
-Web folder /online folder never worked in version 3
-Customers with v3 needs to buy v4 (even thou there many bugs in v3)
-They keep removing features and product and not path for upgrade.
-Constant crash in v3
-No ability to remove file versions from sync, once its established in there interface you can never remove it.
-Writing many files (via ftp storage provider) to sub-folders will eventually hick-up and start writing the files root folder (never fixed).
-No clear focus from company on one single product (and each has huge problems)
-Every product they are offering now focuses (if it has any features at all) on monthly subscription model.
-Poor response to patching promised features and serious product defects.
-Once files are encrypted you "Must" use their client any decryption of files you stored via them.
-No linux versionSummary
I was patiently waiting on them to fix gladinet v3 so that it would be able to access cloud files (as was promised on their website/blurb), they kept promising it would come (in the next patch/hot fix or after they transitioned to new cloud servers)... and 6 months later when it did come it came as an upgrade (their so call v4) with a price tag and monthly fees and charge per what is stored in there cloud (v3 offered access to your computer files through there web interface, v4 is no longer designed that way).
I cannot recommend this company and "any" of their products, "stay away", company lacks clear focus as to whom their customers are or should be and when they do get a customer what they are looking for in a company (for me what I purchased should work and repeated promises should be kept).
