Version: GhostSurf Platinum 5.1
"Misrepresented and frustrating"
Pros: It didn't crash the system.
Cons: Set-up and uninstall issues
Summary: (1) "Free" trial of IP spoofer requires purchase - something of a misnomer.
(2) Anti-spyware app bundled with app installs before Ghostsurf.
(3) SpyCatcher finds fault with all sorts of legit apps / files - but it does not have a
quick way to mark them as safe and frequently failed in accomplishing this, even using the default multi-step default procedure so I had a choice of disabling a reliable application or SpyCatcher - easy choice that, after the third boot session it was headed for "termination with extreme prejudice."
(4) But while I had to load SpyCatcher first, there was no way to uninstall it by itself through Control Panel Add / Remove - no remove option at all. The controlling app of Ghostsurf did, but removing that from the system left SpyCatcher behind. Nor was there an uninstall executable in the subdirectory to which it had been installed. I had to find another application, an uninstall specialist, download and install that, then run it, before I was finally free of this annoying bit of software.
All in all, I wouldn't try this company's products again if they *paid _ME_* for doing so and the only reason I gave it one star was because there was no lower rating.

Tenebril accidentally uploaded the wrong file to this site which is why Ghostsurf didn't work properly. The correct file is now posted if you wish to try it again.
